Saturay, July 6At 5:15 a.m., officers responded to a burglary report at Rio Hondo Golf Course. It was discovered that unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the golf cart shed and removed items belonging to the golf course. The majority of the items were located on the golf course. No suspects were seen. Detectives are investigating.
At 5:35 p.m., officers responded to a report of a residential burglary in the 7500 block of Hondo St. The victim reported their home had been ransacked and they were missing several items. A neighbor told police that they saw two male suspects jump the fence separating their residence from the victim's, and run away from the residence. Detectives are investigating.
Sunday, July 7 At 12:30 a.m., officers assisted Downey Fire Department personnel on a vehicle fire in the area of Laureldale Avenue and Somerset Ranch Road. The vehicle was unoccupied, and a plastic bottle of gasoline and flares were located at the scene. DFD is investigating as a suspected arson.
Wednesday, June 10 At 11:22 p.m., officers responded to a commercial building located at 11111 Florence Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. When officers arrived they found a suspect attempting to gain entry into a locked utility box. Officers detained and after further investigation, arrested the suspect for Burglary.
