Downey teen Pitcher of the Year

DOWNEY - Downey resident Xavier Palos was named Pitcher of the Year at St. Paul High School after an impressive season for the Swordsmen.Palos helped lead St. Paul to an 18-13 record, including two shutout wins against Warren High, 2-0, and powerful Bishop Amat, 1-0. Palos, who has a 3.9 GPA, recently made St. Paul's junior varsity basketball team.
