Grocery store games
Dear Editor:By moving their stock around every day, stores assume shopping is a leisurely walk in the park for wives when, in fact, a wife's daily chores consist of cooking meals, caring for children, driving them to school, mowing the lawn and cleaning the house so the husband can watch Tiger Woods play golf. By some devilish scheme stores invariably move items from aisle one clear across the store to aisle 12, or from aisle 12 to aisle one, and pass by the very items they wanted to buy. It's a wonder that some items don't wind up in the parking lot. It's understandable women outlive men; due to the exercise they get to keep trim for him. Thelma Hawkins Downey
