Registration now open for Alzheimer's walk

LOS ANGELES - Registration is open for the 21st annual Walk to End Alzheimer's, a 5K walk to benefit the Alzheimer's Association, taking place Nov. 3.More than 3,000 participants are expected to take part in the event, which includes exhibitors, vendors, sponsors and food. Walkers can register online at alz.org/socal. "As the Baby Boomers begin to confront an alarming increase in the rates of Alzheimer's diagnoses, the need for care and support is crucial," said Susan Galeas, president and CEO of the Alzheimer's Association, California Southland Chapter. "This disease costs our communities, businesses and families significantly. We need everyone to get involved so that one day our children won't have to pay the ultimate cost."
