Downey Lions Club's annual speech contest

Warren High senior Mariah Montero won first place in the Downey Lions Club's annual speech contest held Feb. 13. She advanced to the district competition taking place Monday. Meanwhile, the club is holding a spaghetti fundraiser Tuesday, March 18, from 6-8 p.m. at So Cal Pizza in Norwalk. Cost is $7 per person, plus a drink purchase.
