Downey Police Officers Association delivered complete Thanksgiving meals

The Downey Police Officers Association delivered complete Thanksgiving meals to more than 20 Downey families last month. The food was donated by Albertson's customers, which in turn donated the meals to Downey Police. "It's an enjoyable time to be able to show up to people's houses and be able to put smiles on everyone's faces," said Cpl. Mike Pope, president of the Downey Police Officers Association. "Most of the time in police work, we deal with negative aspects of life, so it's nice to be able to deliver happy news.
