Downey student earns college scholarship

DOWNEY - Downey resident Luis Rojas has been awarded a $7,000 annual scholarship to attend Ashland University, a mid-sized college near Cleveland.Rojas, a senior at Downey High School, will begin courses at Ashland University this fall. Ashland offered Rojas its Director's Scholarship, which is worth $7,000 annually.
