Artist Ricky Ostendi

Artist Ricky Ostendi will be showing all new paintings on recycled items in his first solo exhibit at Stay Gallery, titled “For The Love of eARTh.” The opening reception takes place Friday, Sept. 5, from 8-11 p.m., and the exhibit ill be on display until Sunday, October 5th. All artwork will be for sale. Refreshments provided by Lagunitas Brewing and will be available at Stay Gallery’s bar. The exhibit and opening reception is all ages and open to the public.

Ostendi is a Downey native, graduating from Warren High School in 2001. Spending most of his time drawing and painting, he enrolled at the Art Institute of Orange County and graduated with a BA in Media Arts & Animation.

Today, Ostendi’s work can be found in a number of restaurants and galleries across Los Angeles. Juggling time between family, work and art, he set up his temporary studio in the kitchen of his apartment to complete his collection for his exhibit at Stay Gallery.
