Downey Council PTA

On Monday the Downey Council PTA gave out scholarships to Downey, Warren and Columbus high school seniors who were also PTA members. The Sally McFarland Scholarship, a tribute to a former Downey PTA volunteer who served for more than 50 years, went to Gordon Sodetani in recognition of his extensive community service. Sally’s son, Dave McFarland, attended to present the award.
