Drug take-back Sept. 27

DOWNEY – Unused, unwanted or expired prescription medication can be dropped off at a drug take-back event Saturday, Sept. 27, outside the police station. The Downey Police Department and volunteers will collect the medicine from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the police station’s west lot.

Over-the-counter medicine can also be dropped off but sharps and needles will not be accepted.

All drugs and containers will be incinerated by the Drug Enforcement Agency.
