Military presentation at library

DOWNEY – Students ages 9-11 are invited to the Downey City Library this Thursday, Oct. 23, to hear a presentation from Ross Moore about military service. Moore’s presentation uses letters his father wrote to his mother during World War II. He will sing and tell stories, and then provide students an opportunity to write a letter to a veteran.

The program is free and is held in conjunction with the War Comes Home grant from Cal Reads and Character Counts Week.
