Rock band to perform debut album

DOWNEY – Los Angeles-based rock band Dream Alive will release its debut album, “Before The Dawn,” at the Stardust Club in Downey on July 12. The record features eight tracks melding sounds ranging from psychedelic to cinematic, bridging the band’s classic rock roots in Journey and Pink Floyd and their modern rock influences of Muse and Coldplay.

After tracking drums and bass at Simon Phillips’ Phantom Recordings in Van Nuys, Dream Alive recorded and self-produced the album at Karan’s K Loft Studios in North Hollywood.

“We worked day and night trying new sounds, textures and arrangements that would bring our vision for these songs to light,” said Nik Phoeniks (lead vocals and keyboard). “We are extremely proud of this album and can’t wait to play it live.”
