Battle of the Bands next Thursday

DOWNEY - Bands and color guards from Downey and Warren high schools will compete in the second annual Battle of the Bands this Thursday, Oct. 17, starting at 6:30 p.m. on the Warren High campus.The event takes place during Spirit Week, when cross-town schools participate in pep rallies and other events that culminate with the Downey-Warren football game on Friday night. The Battle of the Bands showcases each school's full performance groups, as well as drumlines, color buards and pep bands. Groups compete head-to-head with audience members voting for the winner. Admission is free and the public is invited.
