Could stomach pain be gallstones?

CERRITOS - Angelyn Moultrie-Lizana, D.O., will give an informative presentation on gallbladder disease, gallstones and current treatment methods at a workshop Sept. 25 at the Cerritos Senior Center.The gallbladder's primary job is to store bile, a substance that is continuously produced by the liver. When the concentration of cholesterol in the gallbladder becomes high, crystals may form - known as gallstones. Several factors increase the likelihood of gallstones, including age, gender, family history, race and obesity. The workshop is free and open to adults ages 50 and older. It begins at 1 p.m.
