Darren McCaughan and Gabriel Llanes

Darren McCaughan and Gabriel Llanes, both alums of Northwest Downey Little League, have made commitments to play NCAA Div. I baseball at Cal State Long Beach and Fresno State, respectively. The young men grew up playing baseball together in NWDLL, and also football and basketball in DJAA. They ended up at different high schools but have remained friends. "Even as little league players, these boys showed great potential," said Steve Mahr, NWDLL all-star assistant coach.
