Downey mayor

Dear Editor:

At long, long last, the tyrannical reign of Mayor Mario Guerra is over! ("Vasquez Becomes Downey's 46th Mayor," 12/12/13)

My advice to our new mayor, Fernando Vasquez, is to be 100 percent transparent in his dealings. Don't use office to advance your own ambitions, whether professional or political, and remember to always make decisions based on the best interest of Downey residents, the people you were elected to represent.
