New show targets young audiences

LA MIRADA - The La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts kicks off its "Programs for Young Audiences" series for 2013-14 with "Brer Rabbit & Other Trickster Tales from Around the World," which is playing for two performances only on Sept. 15.The 60-minute story-filled adventure is recommended for audiences ages 4 and up. Performances are at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. In "Brer Rabbit," the audience goes on a humorous and magical journey with wily creatures who teach folk wisdom, morals and life lessons. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children. Subscriptions for all five series shows are $51 for adult and $34 for children.
