Parley Johnson tours offered

DOWNEY - Tours of the historic Case de Parley Johnson in Downey will be offered Oct. 19-20 by the Assistance League of Downey.For $15, visitors will receive a docent-guided tour of the 1920's Roland Coate mansion with gardens by Florence Yoch. There will also be vendors, home-made baked goods, food and entertainment, craft items and plant sales, cupboard treasures, collectibles and more. Tours are available Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Oct. 20 from 12-4 p.m. Tickets are available at the Second Tyme Around Thrift Shop, 11026 Downey Ave.
