Quilter is guest speaker

DOWNEY - Award-winning landscape quilter Karen Thornton of East Texas will be featured at the Oct. 16 meeting of the Los Angeles County Quilters Guild at the Woman's Club of Downey.Doors open at 9 a.m. for social hour and the program starts at 10. Admission is $5 for non-members of the guild.
