WDLL sign-ups start Sunday

DOWNEY - Early bird registration is underway for West Downey Little League, with sign-ups taking place Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at West Middle School.Cost is $85 for t-ball (ages 4-5) and Rookie Division (ages 5-7). All other levels are $120. Registration fee includes uniform shirt, hat, yearbook, pictures and trophy. Early bird sign-ups will also be taken Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. before prices increase in January. When registering, players must provide a certified birth certificate (no abstracts) and three forms of proof of residency, such as vehicle records, cable bills, voter registration or driver's license. Try-outs are scheduled for Jan. 11 and Jan. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children ages 8 and older must try out. Players age 7 may tryout for a competitive division.
