Chamber of Commerce to celebrate 122 years with Gatsby-themed gala

DOWNEY — The Downey Chamber of Commerce will mark its 122nd anniversary with a “Great Gatsby”-themed celebration on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 5:30 p.m. at the Embassy Suites in Downtown Downey.

The black-tie affair will feature dinner, dancing, awards, and networking opportunities for local business leaders and community members.

Guests are encouraged to wear black-tie or semiformal attire in keeping with the event’s roaring twenties style.

Tickets are $65 and can be reserved by calling the chamber at (562) 923-2191, extension 1.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available, ranging from a $250 package that includes tickets and program recognition to a $1,500 top sponsorship that offers marketing materials, social media promotion, and a chance to speak at the event.

The deadline for sponsorships is Sept. 30.
