Curb paintings

Dear Editor:The time is coming for the annual painting of addresses on the curb. These curb paintings don't last very long with cars parking and scraping the paint. If you have a front porch with concrete steps, have the painters put the address on the second or third step, on the edge closest to the driveway. This will last indefinitely - I've had mine for six years and it still looks like it was just painted. It's also very handy for police and paramedics because it can be spotted right away. - Mike Rodela, Downey
