Latin rock show in Cerritos stars Thee Midniters, Malo and more

CERRITOS – The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts is hosting a Latin rock and R&B show May 4, featuring Cannibal and the Headhunters, Malo and Thee Midniters. 

Cannibal and the Headhunters opened for The Beatles on their American tour and achieved their own hit with “Land of a Thousand Dances.” 

Malo had a hit with “Suavecito” that led to world tours and laid the groundwork for the group’s longstanding career. 

Thee Midniters pioneered the Chicano rock movement, garnering national attention with the hit “Whittier Blvd.” 

The show will be hosted by former KRTH 101 personality “Shotgun Tom” Kelly, who is now with XM Radio.
