Latinas Lead California endorses Lissette Rivera

DOWNEY — Lissette Rivera, candidate for Downey City Council District 4, has received the endorsement of Latinas Lead California, a nonpartisan political action committee dedicated to advancing Latina leadership and increasing representation in public office.

The endorsement adds to Rivera’s campaign as she seeks to bring community-focused leadership, accountability, and practical solutions to Downey City Hall.

A longtime Downey resident and small business owner, Rivera is also the co-founder and president of War On Lethal Fentanyl (WOLF), an organization dedicated to fentanyl awareness and prevention. She previously served on Downey’s Citywide Public Works Committee and has remained involved in issues affecting local families and neighborhoods.

As a candidate for District 4, Rivera is focused on issues that directly affect residents, including public safety, neighborhood infrastructure, support for local businesses, responsible management of city resources, and responsive local government.

“I am honored to have the support of Latinas Lead California,” Rivera said. “I believe our community deserves leadership that listens, works hard, and puts residents first. I am committed to ensuring that Downey’s neighborhoods, families, and businesses have a strong voice in the decisions that shape our city.”

Latinas Lead California supports Latina representation in leadership through candidate endorsements and engagement in the political process. The endorsement brings further attention to Rivera’s candidacy ahead of the November 3, 2026, General Election.

Rivera’s campaign emphasizes community engagement, accountability, and practical solutions to address residents’ concerns and help shape Downey’s future.
