Letter to the Editor: I want a tree

Dear Editor:

I am a homeowner in Downey and I want a tree.

I’ve been in contact with The Tree People since July 2018, asking for a tree. I have the right area for one, however, they now have told me they’ve finished the Downey area.

I've been on a waiting list, yet I'm still waiting.

Referring to last week’s front-page story with Suzanne Dodd and her tree issue, I find it funny how one person who doesn't want a tree may get one anyway, while I've been here asking for one for over a year now.

To bring this story to a happy ending, I have a suggestion: how about if Suzanne and I get together and plant her tree at my house? It's a win-win.
