DOWNEY — Sizzler’s longtime Downey location is reopening its doors with a new look and a week of grand opening festivities from May 24-30, the company announced.
Located at 10315 Lakewood Blvd., the restaurant has undergone a full renovation as part of a broader modernization effort by Sizzler. The remodeled 145-seat dining room features retro-inspired red booths, wood-paneled walls that nod to the brand’s 1970s heritage, electronic menu boards, and an expanded Unlimited Salad Bar.
A newly enhanced dessert station now includes freshly baked brownies and a larger soft-serve topping selection.
As part of the reopening celebration, Sizzler will offer a “Spin & Save” promotion, giving every dine-in guest the chance to spin a prize wheel for discounts tied to historical menu prices—from 15% to as much as 90% off. The first 100 customers on May 24 and 25 will also receive a free commemorative cup and a complimentary beverage.
The Downey location—one of the oldest in the Sizzler chain—will also debut an exclusive new menu item called The Sizzler, featuring hand-cut choice tri-tip steak served sizzling over thick-cut fries and caramelized onions, topped with garlic demi-glaze. The $16.99 dish will be available only in Downey.
