Students performing ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’

DOWNEY – Downey High School’s Theatre Department will perform Harper Lee’s classic novel, “To Kill a Mockingbird,” adapted for the stage, next month. The play explores the courage it takes to confront irrationality and bigotry, and the need for empathy in all societies.

Performances are Dec. 5-6 at 7 p.m., Dec. 11 at 3 p.m., and Dec. 12-13 at 7 p.m. All performances are in the Downey High School Theater.

Tickets are $8 at the door or $6 if purchased at the Downey ASB window starting Nov. 17.
