Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the DOWNEY CITY PLANNING COMMISSION on the 4th day of September, 2019, at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chamber of the Downey City Hall, 11111 Brookshire Avenue, Downey, California. At that time and place, consideration will be given to the following:

(PLN-19-00086) Planned Sign Program: A request for a Planned Sign Program which will approve the size, location, and appearance of signs on an existing multi-tenant commercial building as well as a monument sign, on property located at 8018 Stewart and Gray Road and zoned C-1 (Neighborhood Commercial).

All interested parties are invited to submit written comments and/or to attend and give testimony. The staff report, which provides a detailed description and analysis of this project, will be posted to the City’s website ( on the Friday prior to the public hearing.

As required by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), this request has been found to be Categorically Exempt from CEQA, per CEQA Guideline, Section 15311 (Class 11, Accessory Structures).
