Cerritos Center releases 2013-14 schedule

CERRITOS - The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts has released its 2013-14 season schedule, which kicks off Aug. 17 with two-time Grammy Award artist Patti LaBelle.The season lineup includes entertainers in music, dance and Broadway, including concerts by Broadway actor/tenor Mandy Patinkin, rock band Foreigner, musician Chris Isaak and R&B songbird Roberta Flack. The lineup also features award-winning celebrity chef Alton Brown, the Dance Theatre of Harlem Company, Grammy-nominated trumpeter Chris Botti and the Official Blues Brothers Revue. For families, the season offers Luma, Broadway on Ice and It's Magic!. Returning acts include the Colors of Christmas, saxophonist Dave Koz and composer Rob Kapilow with his critically acclaimed "What Makes It Great?" series. The Broadway Series features the percussion sensation "Stomp," the Tony-winning musical "Man of La Mancha," and the all-time love story "West Side Story." The Memory Lane Series showcases the "Helen Reddy Holiday Show"; a "Tribute to Glenn Miller & the Vocal Groups Vol. II" featuring the Tex Beneke Orchestra, the Four Aces, the Ink Spots Generations, the Modernaires and the Pied Pipers; and Frank Ferrante in "An Afternoon with Groucho." Patrons can subscribe to one or more of the series packages: Broadway, Memory Lane and Rob Kapilow's "What Makes It Great?" Theater-goers can also customize their own season with five or more performances of their choice if orders are placed by Aug. 17. The complete schedule is listed below.
