Local band Fathers & Suns performing live show

DOWNEY – Long Beach band Fathers & Suns will perform at Stay Gallery next Thursday, April 17, at 9 p.m. The band is comprised by Arturo Bandini (guitars and vocals), Jesus Lara (guitar and vocals), Luis Renteria (drums and percussion) and Jay Penev (bass, vocals, keyboards and programming). The quartet blends rock, 60’s pop, and folk.

Bandini and Lara’s split lead vocal duties add an extra dimension to their sound, atop the three-piece harmonies, dancing guitar riffs, massive bass lines and Beatles-esque backbeats, which have earned the band a passionate local following and a growing fan base.

Donations will be taken at the door. Local Downey band New American will open at 8:30 p.m.
