Downey’s Lanna Martinez named NAIA Scholar-Athlete

DOWNEY — Lanna Martinez, of Downey, is one of 29 Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) student-athletes who have been named NAIA Spring Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

The NAIA Scholar-Athlete distinction recognizes student-athletes who maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport and have attended their institution for at least one full year.

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College is Indiana's oldest Catholic college, established in 1840.
